interesting, but the views are crazy. the author sums up american women based on his expieriences with drug addicte prostitutes. it’s like me going to germany, find 3 drug addicted prostitutes to spend 6 months with and the. writing a travel book bout germany. The author clearly has some resentment against america. that’s not why i decided to read this book. i found it because i am a recovering addict who has been sober for 10 years through aa. he slams aa, but these girls never worked a program or even ‘stayed sober for longer than 30 days. his opinions just get super annoying after awhile. america is the country that made him rich and affords him his life of little work. i don’t know why he does not move to europe.
The first part of the book started out as a great, exciting read. But then it became a really hard read. The whole book was the same thing over and over again and when you think something is going to change it just repeats its self over and over again.
I was totally hooked on this book. Pun intended. I didn't really know what to expect going in, but once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. You can't ask for more.
Since I always read a whole book I flipped through so many pages near the end just to get it done. Didn't miss anything. How stupid is this guy???? It was the same scenario over and over and OVER again.
Bad Choices make good stories 1&2 have been hard to put down, the author manages to keep you so interested what happens next in his life.He also builds tension and makes you want to tell him what you think about his choices and asking him why he is making the same "mistakes" over and over again. I can not wait to find out what happens next. The title of the 3rd book indicates he is going to turn things around. This is a book for every age group and I think a lot of people can relate which makes it even easier to read. He is raw and bland and has just the right kind of humor. It's an excellent choice to read this autobiographic novel.
This book is supposed to be non-fiction, but reads as fiction with a few quotes here and there. Poorly written, outlandish, juvenile, and unbelievable as non fiction. The author sounds hypocritical, unethical, and chauvinistic throughout this book. What a bunch of repetitive nonsense. Yuck.
Oh my god. Such a sad story of addiction to both sex and drugs. It’s hard to believe this all really exists. It sounds as if there might be more sex in jail then on the outside? Oliver does deliver a engaging story, that was both captivating and unbelievable at the same time. The story does make one wonder who would repeat the same actions over and over and over expecting different results. That would be Oliver.
I love the brutal honesty in all of his books. The memory alone of what people looked like, what he was thing a t the time and what he was feeling in that exact moment.
