In my opinion Dan Hardy is the best mma analyst in the world. And it seems his life experiences has helped him attain that greatness breaking down fights. I remember Dan Hardy fighting GSP at UFC 111 and never quitting throughout the fight. I thought that he must have been made of something special when he refused to quit on that deep armbar that night.Curiosity rose again when I found out Dan was recently released a book on his life experiences.In Part Reptile Dan Hardy goes over his journey of being a martial artist to eventually being an elite mma fighting GSP for the welterweight belt. He details the rollercoaster ride he faced to reach the UFC including his many lowpoints before, during, and after. As well as his dabbles with hallucinogenic plants eventually leading him to shamans in the Amazon forest. He ultimately lands a job with the UFC breaking down fights, commentating, and doing interviews. Dan Hardy is an important figure in mma. And I feel his past UFC fights (including his championship battle with GSP), life experiences, and his love for martial arts has made him the best mma analyst today.Read his awesome book to get an in depth look into his fascinating story, excellent read!
Dan provides us with the opportunity to learn how he has become the person he is today. Starting with his first encounter with martial arts, and taking us to where he is at right now in his life, Dan has put together one of my favorite books written by a martial artist. I did not want to put this book down, as I laughed out loud a number of times, and got a sense of the strong family values and morals Dan lives by. I was a huge fan of his when he was fighting, and love the way he breaks down fights as an analyst. After reading this book, I am a bigger fan of Dan Hardy the person. Dan is clearly a hard working, intelligent person, doing his best to live life in the moment, and treating the world with respect. This book is highly recommended.
Seems very real and honest. Enjoy reading opinions and situations that have a non-bias, fits me maybe, but if not that’s fine approach and simply another’s situational experiences. Well told stories.
Dan writes and lives a great story. I’ve always been a big fan throughout his mma career, and now as an author. Hope he writes more books.
