Information was good all around i was hopeing for more technical details and less author opinons on his work and the bad work of others

This is a good start if you want to do dry masonry with stones. It has several complete stonework projects with detailed drawings to help you on your way. A good idea book too, with practical tips. Way better than "Art of the Stonemason", which is for restoring medieval monasteries.

Great reference! I love having this available since we do so much work on our property with heavy stones and rocks. We have built 5 major rock walls and this was super helpful!

I love this book for hardscaping ideas.

I had read this book some years before and my ex kept it. It is VERY well written, easy to absorb and understand. McRaven is both a Master Stone worker and an excellent teacher!
