Another book of the series that my Grandson loves!
Great Book
the book is very very good thanks
One of those times I wish there were a zero-star option. One of my pet peeves is when a children't book is written without due diligence to research and subject matter expertise. This book depicts a home being built by a group of friends who are all small animals. That's not the problem but there are several others: the book diverges into relationship trouble, misunderstandings, selfishness, and then making up, etc. I didn't expect a relationship book, given the title. But probably most problematic: there is precious little information about house-building in the book (many pages don't even touch on it, as friends are interacting) and some of what is given is just wrong. The home is built of brick. The inside of the brick walls are then chiseled out to make room for electric wires. Then the brick is covered over with something that isn't explained but looks like sheet rock and mud... *inside and out.* There are no stud walls. No drilling of said walls for electric. No interior walls at all. Perhaps the author thought that since it's a house for a mouse that it would be okay to fudge the details. Poor decision in my opinion, and leading me back to my original pet peeve. If you want a child's book about home building I suggest you keep looking.
What a beautiful series!!! As a homeschooler, this is very much worth the $.
